The most thankful day of the year is here! Thanksgiving Day! I can't believe it. I keep saying that and truly mean it. Each year seems to go by faster and faster and I find myself slowing down more so that I can soak up all of the minutes.
I am a big fan of traditions, holidays and everything that goes with that. My pinterest usage increases during this time of year and I love finding simple and easy ways to make the time extra special for our boys. After all, making memories is what it is all about, right?!
A few years ago, I believe when my oldest was 4 he made a clay bowl that we named the "Thankful bowl" and every November we fill it up with the things that we are Thankful for and on Thanksgiving day we read them. There is also a really good children's book, "The Thanksgiving Bowl" and we read this book throughout November. Here is the book on amazon: Thanksgiving Bowl
We always use the Turkey Placemats that the boys have made at school each year and they enjoy looking at previous years as they get older. We all look forward to my Moms' pumpkin bread. She is famous for this recipe and it is a hit around here. Yum!
Thanksgiving day morning we enjoy long snuggles on the sofa while watching the Macy's Thanksgiving day parade in New York. I always like to have a craft or activity to do with the boys and this year we have the thanksgiving melty bead project kit from Michael's.
A big Thank you to all of you lovely ladies! Your support means everything to me. Please enjoy this beautiful day with friends and family and be thankful for all that you have in your life!
I am Thankful for you!
