I love making easy and yummy treats with the boys at Christmas! This holiday season we made Holiday Christmas Bark and a new Cookie recipe! Both were so easy and a big hit!
Holiday Bark Recipe:
3 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 tbsp shortening or coconut oil
green & red chocolate candies
Step 1: Heat chocolate chips in a microwave safe bowl for 1 minute intervals stirring in between until smooth. (approx. 2 minutes)
Step 2: When chips are melted, stir in coconut oil and heat in 10 sec. intervals until smooth.
Step 3: Pour chocolate onto a foil lined baking tray.
Step 4: Sprinkle with toppings pressing firmly into chocolate as you go.
Step 5: Refrigerate 1-2 hours or until firm.
Step 6: Remove foil, break into pieces and enjoy!
We also tried a new Christmas Cookie Recipe this year. It was easy and so far so good! We did the icing a little different. I used the same recipe and the consistency was great for the cookies. We iced the cookies with a small spatula and then added sprinkles! The cookies were delicious and easy plus the kids had fun and I really think they were better than the traditional sugar cookies we usually make. This will be a go to cookie recipe for me going forward!
And of course and adult treat! The snowflake margarita! I found this recipe on Kroger's instagram page and it was pretty easy to make.
Take cranberries and put them in an ice cube tray, then pour coconut milk on top and freeze. Mix tequila, triple sec, lime juice, sparkling water and champagne on top of cube! Find the entire recipe here: Snowflake Margarita
